There are plenty of training methods out there today, but what sets us apart from others?
At SpineFit, tailoring a safe workout to meet your short and long-term fitness goals is our top priority.
You may have heard of the phrase, “results-focused training” being used throughout the fitness realm, but how can one achieve results if every time they try to work out, they do more harm than good?
Maybe it’s aggravating a past injury that wasn’t properlyphysically rehabilitated. Or maybe the individual is trying to “grind” or “work” through a chronic illness that begins to flare up. Or could it be that they work out so hard for 1 week that they lose all motivation to exercise…for the 100 th time?
At SpineFit, every client undergoes a thorough 1-on-1 training evaluation with a certified strength coach and consultation with a Doctor of Chiropractic prior to any form of fitness exercise being performed. This evaluation entails a review of health history, a functional movement screen, and body composition analysis.
Within the review of health history, the client fills out a short questionnaire asking about any physical ailments, surgeries, chronic illnesses, family history, what has and has not
worked for them in the past, and their expected outcomes with exercise.
After such information is reviewed, the client is put through an in-depth functional movement screen that enables the strength coach to tailor the workout program to the individual’s functional needs. Each SpineFit exercise is designed to mimic everyday movement for anyone, of any age and the Functional Movement Screen assists in showing bodily regions in which movement capacity could be improved.
The client then walks onto our in-body system, a non-invasive machine that analyzes body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, lean muscle mass, and body fat mass. With both pieces of objective data, the strength coach in adjunction with Doctor of Chiropractic is then able to help the client set realistic short and long-term goals and tailor an exercise program specific to the client that will enable them to achieve the results they want to see, in the safest way possible.
